Horizons Expanded: Reed Faster as The Crossroads Demon

Reed Faster is more than just a series of reviews on random media. I am also a drag artist, and when I find a place to share my art, I make sure to give it my all. 

When I go on stage, I am transformed. I become the character I am portraying, as best I am able. One tenet I try to hold to is that every experience is a chance to learn, which is why I was very grateful for the feedback I received when I performed at the first Drag Progeny show on November 16th of this year. 

I was also very grateful to find a place where alternative/goth/dark drag was absolutely encouraged. Venus Shannon is the genius behind the Drag Supreme series (where drag artists compete for the crown, with a focus on performers that don’t fit mainstream drag, INCLUDING kings). She was also one of the people to provide feedback on my performance (and homework for next time).

And so, thank you. Thank you for being here with me in this space. Thank you to the friends, family, and partners who came out to support me. Thank you to The East Room for hosting this event, and to everyone who performed that night. We need this space for our art, we need drag of all kinds.
